Upcycling favorite old saris and stitching the scraps into wonderfully mellowed throws, rural women in West Bengal, India and Bangladesh create soft cotton throws. The women use a local form of quilt stitching with contrast thread called askantha forming patchworks of pattern. Each piece has a unique pattern and color. Individually shown so you can choose your favorite.
These throws are hand crafted and require careful spot hand washing to preserve.
Size: Each is slightly different but approximately 60″ wide x 88″ long
