bomisch — Natural beeswax | handmade utility home item | un-stick zipper.com

100% beeswax bars handmade by our local Durham, NC beekeeper friend, David. Beeswax has been used for centuries for many household needs.

Set of 3 bars.

Size 2 3/4″ x 7/8″

Beeswax use includes:

-Run your sewing thread against a block of beeswax a few times – it will slide through the fabric easier, prevent longer threads from tangling, make the thread sturdy and waterproof

-Lubricate a sticky window or drawer

-Condition wood cutting boards

-Condition and waterproof boots, saddles, bags or other leather products by rubbing into the leather with a dry, clean cloth, working it in well along seams. Let dry, then buff to shine.

-In the garden, beeswax can be used to make pest deterrents

-Removal of rusted nails or bolts

-Coat hand tools, shovels, or cast iron pieces to prevent rust from forming. This includes treating wood handles to preserve and protect them from degrading.

-Polish concrete counters, granite, wrought iron – both inside and outside of the home

-Preserve a patina. Seal a copper sink by rubbing it with softened beeswax and polishing off the excess with a lint-free rag

We are excited to find even more ways to use these handy little beeswax bars and keep you posted through our blog.
